Dear Expectant Parents!

We are so grateful for you!  We're so excited to know you're wanting to get to know us more!

We've been praying for and anticipating the opportunity to become a part of your life.

God has put it on our hearts to grow our family through adoption.  We are all looking forward to sharing our love with another child.

We hope to meet you soon...

I'm Mark.

I'm so excited to be able to open our family up to you!  It's an honor to be considered, and we would be so grateful to become a part of your life.

Landscape construction is my business and I am grateful to have a job I love.

I enjoy spending time with our kids, watching tv shows, playing games, taking trips, and swimming.

Our family has been blessed with three wonderful kids and we want to share our love and family with another child.  I feel that God's plan as the next step for our family is to grow through adoption.

We look forward to meeting you!

Hello, my name is Heidi.

I'm so excited to be growing our family through adoption. I thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to become a mom again. There is no greater job that God has given me than being a mom. I adore being part of our kids’ lives.  Whether it's our day by day things, or volunteering for their school and sports functions, I enjoy it all. When the kids are off of school we enjoy day trips. Our favorites include Frankenmuth and Rockford.

I really enjoy baking and teaching my kids how to cook.  We enjoy making recipes from relatives and I love telling the kids stories about making these with loved ones from my childhood. If you have a favorite recipe and story you'd like me to make and teach your child about, I'd be honored to do so! Other things I enjoy are making candles, going for walks and going to the lake, but above all spending time with family.

I work part time as a hair stylist, and have been working for 18 years. I work 2 days a week, Thursdays and Saturdays.  On Thursdays our kids get to hang out with grandparents after school, and Saturday is dad day!

Thank you again for considering our family. – Heidi

Mark and I met in the winter of 1996 while working at a restaurant. It wasn't long after meeting that we started dating. We quickly found out how similar our interests were: playing board games, a love for roller coasters, swimming, enjoying nature, biking, and camping. In November of 1997 we were engaged. Early in our relationship we talked about children and how many we wanted. It became clear to us both that we were passionate about adoption. We knew from that point on that one of our children would be a selfless gift from someone else.

We got married in September of 1998. We lived in the Detroit area for one year before moving back to the Grand Rapids area (where we both are from).  In 2002 we decided to start a family.  Unfortunately, in April of that year we lost our first baby due to a miscarriage. Losing our first child was difficult, but through much prayer and relying on God our marriage became stronger.  Soon after that experience we were overjoyed to find out that we were due to have another child. In 2003 Brie was born!  She brought so much joy to our lives. Then in 2005 we were blessed with our oldest son Kyle, and in 2008 we were blessed with our youngest son Cody. Cody was born premature and had to be in the NICU for a month. The first year of his life was very scary for us as he had several minor health issues. It was during this time we decided to put a hold on continuing to grow our family.  In 2016 we strongly felt God leading us to pursue adoption, a longing we had thought about for years. We sat down with our children and discussed this and they were just as excited.  So here we are!
