Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I'm so grateful and have so much respect for you. You love your unborn child so much that you are willing to consider an adoption plan for him. That is an amazing thing. My wife and I are so looking forward to being the best parents we can possibly be!

Caroline and I met 11 years ago in college. We got married 5 years later. She is my best friend in the entire world and is going to be an amazing mother. She is very kind, sweet, smart, organized and dedicated. One of the best parts of our marriage is how well we work together as a team. We are a great team that can accomplish any task. This is why I know we are going to be great parents.

Caroline works in healthcare and I am a teacher and a coach at a Christian school. Our religion is very important to us. We are involved at our church and we try to lead by example in our Christian lifestyle. Our Christian values are very important to us and we try our best to always uphold them. We enjoy being outdoors and active. Almost every night we go walking with our dog Woody (35 lb. Wheaton Terrier). We so look forward to taking these walks while pushing a stroller! I also love sports and math. That is why I coach football and baseball and teach math!

It is impossible for me to describe how excited I am to be a father in a letter. I'm around kids every day and I always catch myself thinking about how I can’t wait to be a father. I can’t wait to teach my child about our Savior Jesus Christ. I can’t wait to play with my child. I can’t wait to teach him how to play basketball or throw a baseball. I can’t wait to bring my child to my sports practices to interact with the kids that I coach. I can’t wait to help my child with homework. I can’t wait to teach my child about what is right and what is wrong. I can’t wait to love my child unconditionally. I can’t wait to try to be as good of a father as mine was to me. I think that my father was the best father in the world. Even though he was extremely busy he was always there for me. He always made sure he made the time to support me. Not only was he my father but he was my best friend. He taught me how to be a man.

When we receive our child we have plans currently set in place. We will both take time off of work. I receive two weeks of paternity leave and Caroline will have 4 months. Since I am a teacher and coach, during the summer our plans will be different because of how much more time I have available. We plan on hiring a nanny for three days a week and our parents each sharing one day a week once paternity leave is up. Both of our parents live in Nashville and are extremely excited about the baby!

Sincerely – Stephen

Dear Friend,

We have prayed for you for 6 years. We have prayed for you to have the courage to make such a difficult decision. We have prayed for you to have overwhelming peace when you choose a family for your baby. We will never stop praying for you. Even though we don't yet know you, we love you! We can't wait to meet you.

Stephen and I met in college, got married after we graduated and have been married for 6 years. We are best friends and each other's greatest supporter. Stephen is a strong, Christian man and will do anything for his family. He works really hard and always puts us first. We have always dreamed about having a family of both biological and adopted children. We have one dog, Woody, and he is super sweet. He will be a great brother.

Both of our families live in Nashville and can't wait to become grandparents. They will be the best grandparents because they have been wonderful parents! My mom is an amazing cook and loves to decorate her house for holidays. My dad can fix anything and loves to be outdoors. My brother (Josh) is not much younger than me, married to Ashley and in the Air Force. We also have lots of aunts, uncles and cousins - the baby will be showered with love and kisses!

When the baby comes, I will be able to take 4 months of maternity leave and Stephen will get 2 weeks of paternity leave. Then, each grandma will keep the baby 1 day per week and we will have a nanny for the other 3 days. We will always make our family and family time a top priority.

We have so much love in our home and in our hearts - for you and the baby. We look forward to meeting you!

Hugs, Caroline
